Welcome to the Centre for International Central Bank Dialogue
Artificial Intelligence in Central Banking – Use Cases and Challenges, from 08.11.2027 till 12.11.2027 in Frankfurt
Objective
Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming the financial sector and poses both significant opportunities and complex challenges for central banks. AI encompasses a broad spectrum of technologies, ranging from traditional rule-based systems through modern machine learning approaches to generative AI (genAI) models capable of creating new content such as text, images, or code. This course will explore the different forms of AI, with a particular focus on the implications and use cases of generative AI for central banks. Key questions include: What role do these various AI technologies play in decision-making processes, and how can their potential be harnessed responsibly? How can central banks adapt their strategies and operations to leverage AI while managing associated risks?
Active participation is expected from all attendees, who are encouraged to contribute to the discussions and present relevant topics from their national perspective.
